The First Annual Photo Contest (2007) sponsored by the Friends last year was a great success. Approximately 150 people were in attendance to view the entries, 227 photographs submitted by the participants in the contest. The winners (see below) recieved American Express gift cards. The photos were displayed as a group in the Library Gallery until early March. After that time some were displayed at the Corona City Hall, while others decorated different parts of the Library for several months. Congratulations!

"My wife and I love to sit next to the waterfall at Dos Lagos in Corona and relax after a busy week. I have a passion for the drama created by time-lapse photography and this was the perfect setting for this contest.

He used a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm zoom lens.

"I liked the rich colors of this Corona landmark's signage at night and thought it would be a good example of Corona Places.

I used a Nikon D70 with a 18-70 zoom lens and a 5 second exposure.

I can show my creative side with photography which is the opposite of my day job as a financial analyst.
