The Friends of the Corona Public Library is an independent, non-profit, support group. First organized in 1964, originally The Friends were committed to expanding Children Services at the Library by providing regular story-hours and additional books for the Children's Collection. An annual book sale was begun to fund these programs.
Today, The Friends has greatly expanded its support of Children's Services and includes preservation of our community heritage, major gifts to the Library, donations, and 100's of volunteers. We also sponsor a wide variety of programs at the Library - everything from nationally known speakers and reknowned authors to strolling carolers in the holiday season.
The Friends' volunteers, currently 57 very appreciated individuals, operate the BookShop in the Library, selling inexpensive used books, videos, book-themed gifts, and more. All proceeds benefit the Library.
The Friends' of the Corona Library bookshop is offering even more benefits this May 2010 for new and renewing members. These new benefits include special BookShop sales and BookShop coupons for Members Only. See more on the BookShop page of this website.
